Lil Wayne released the cover art for his highly anticipated album, “Tha Carter V,” and it’s a little different form his previous album covers. While he regularly uses baby pictures of himself on his albums, this one features a picture of him and his mom. Wayne said this release is special to him and including his mother was “more than an accomplishment, it was an achievement.”
Wayne told ESPN that the picture was news to his mother. “I didn’t tell her about the picture I was using for the album,” said Wayne. “I know personally she doesn’t really like that picture of herself.”
With featured appearances by his Young Money protege’s Drake and Nicki Minaj, Wayne has said that “Tha Carter V” will be his final album. The album is set to release on Oct. 28.
